Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited came into existence in July, 2003 as subsidiary company of UPPCL. The Discom covers in its jurisdiction the areas of District Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautambudh Nagar, Bulandshahar, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Bijnor, Moradabad, Sambhal, J.P. Nagar and Rampur. The Discom comprises of 06 distribution zones based at Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar, Noida, Saharanpur and Moradabad and each is headed by an officer of the rank of Chief Engineer. The total number of Distribution Circles and Divisions in Different Zones are 29 and 95 respectively along with 29 nos.

Energy IT Solutions
Under this business energy billing, through Hand Held machine, mobile cash van and cloud / mobile based, is being done by the Company. Software development, related to this business, is also being done in-house. The Company is engaged in this business for the last 4 years. Presently the Company is operating in two States; Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
Hand held Billing System
Hand held billing work was started for Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) during 2013. Presently energy billing, in 12 circles with consumer base of about 18 lakhs, is being done. More districts are planned to be covered very shortly
Energy Billing System
Energy billing work, in three districts of Haryana, started during the year 2016-17. The Company has plans to start energy billing work in other States also.

- Consumers can meet officers of Commercial Department between 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM and 2.00 PM to 5.30 PM everyday.
- The bills will be checked and rectified, if required, within one/two weeks.
- In case bills need amendment/correction, the “due date” will be extended suitably.
